as evidenced by the used-for-five-days-but-otherwise-brand-new fuel pump in my garage. I installed it, and within 2-3 days it was getting almost as loud as the old one. I took it out and reinstalled the old one just to be sure that, if it was being ruined, it wouldn't ruin a new one, too.
Traded out the fp controller with someone else's; no difference. Same with the ECU. It's got to be the rat's nest of mystery wires underneath the fuse block... The look on Bernie's face was a good one when he uncovered that mess! And he did such a nice job of putting it right back exactly the way it was. :-)
